Right Ankle Fracture with Surgical Fixation - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This exhibit depicts a bimalleolar fracture of the right ankle, specifically the posterior portion of the distal tibia and the distal portion of the fibula. To fixate the posterior bone fragment of the tibia, two pins are drilled in and cannulated screws are passed over this. A lateral incision is made over the fibula to affix a plate with screws to the fibula to stabilize the fracture.
